REMOVAL OF STRETCH MARKS
REMOVAL OF STRETCH MARKS (Tummy tuck)
This operation is helpful for women who after having given birth to children, have relaxed loose abdominal skin or who have lost excessive weight by successful dieting, but now have an excess of hanging skin in the lower abdomen.
During abdominoplasty, the fold of the skin is resected. If someone has excess of fat then, combination of liposuction is done along with the skin resection. At the same time of the abdominoplasty, the abdominal wall muscles are tightened to restore the lost tone during pregnancy.
This surgery requires general anesthesia. The usual hospital stay is 1 to 2 days, depending upon the individual’s response to surgery.
