Face Lift Surgery
SURGERIES FOR THE AGING FACE
As we grow older different parts of our body and face start to sag. Gravity alone is not the only factor for sagging, the other culprit is loss of the ‘elasticity’ and the ‘tone’ of the skin.
This is done to remove the excess of loose, sagging skin from the cheeks and neck. The incisions are made around, above and behind the ears. Skin is lifted from the cheeks and neck. The fascia over the muscles is tightened. Excess of the skin is removed and sutured. This surgery is done under local anaesthesia with some sedation and requires no stay in the hospital.
THREAD LIFT
In early aging face we can do thread lifting by introducing thread deep to skin and lift the face skin without any cutting hence no scar.
ENDOSCOPIC FACE LIFT
Facelift can also be done with the help of endoscope through 3 to 4 holes without producing any visible scar.
EYELID CORRECTION
Upper and lower eyelid wrinkles caused by the relaxation of the skin can be improved and tightened. The cut is made at the lid fold for the upper eyelid and at the lid margin for the lower. The skin is lifted and the excess of skin, fat and muscle is removed and sutured. This procedure is done under local anaesthesia and requires no stay in the hospital.
BROW LIFT
The sagging eyebrows can be lifted higher to their proper location either by removing skin from just above the eyebrows or at the hair line, Eyebrow lift is done as an out patient procedure under local anaesthesia. It can also be done along with the face lift. Eye brow can be lifted by thread lift and also by endoscopic procedure without any visible scar.
